where to eat in berlin

berlin restaurants and culture

With a love for italian restaurants, I am compiling a list of berlin restaurants and ‘bonnes adresses’ to check out – even if you are visiting you can avoid any potential tourist traps by following blogs and getting the addresses tapped into Google Maps to ensure you have a great food experience.

I particularly like guides such as the pizza guide in berlin as it explains quickly where to go.

In my case, where I have had to luxury of friends living here longer than I have, I was able to seek out new places after recommendations and also testing them myself.

where to eat pizza in Berlin

I have this unhealthy obsession with very fresh pizza, Italian style. Berlin does a smashing job at providing some of the best Europe has to offer. HANDS DOWN.

De Noantri
I Due Forni
Pizza E Pezzi
Pizza E Pezzi
Amici Amici
Grünfisch (gräefekiez)

The best places to try Asian food in Berlin are along Kantstr. They have an array of delicious Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai restaurants.

KUCHI – they have several restaurants including Cocolo Ramen
Distrikt MOT – Saigon Street Food

coffee shops

As you should have worked out by now, I adore great coffee. For me it’s essential to find a creamy coffee or good espresso bar. Berlin has a good share of high quality coffee shops.

Passenger Espresso
Café Quitte
Hallesches Haus
Double Eye

Cinema’s are still open despite the invasion of Netflix, Sky and other streaming services. A new found love of mine has to be independent cinema, film and particularly French cinema. I find them more intimate than those huge IMAX cinemas, although if you were going to see a Bond film I suppose you’d go there for the sound system.

Rollberg Kinos
Yorck Kinos
Potsdamer platz
Babylon Kottbusser Tor
